About Subluxation
01. A Doctor of Chiropractic is concerned with preserving and restoring health, and focuses particular attention on the condition known as vertebral subluxation. The term vertebral subluxation complex is used to describe what happens when spinal bones lose their normal position and range of motion due to stress, trauma or chemical imbalances. A subluxation is evaluated, diagnosed, and managed through the use of chiropractic procedures, by the Doctor of Chiropractic.
How Do You Get Subluxations (Misalignment of the spine)?
02. There are three basic causes of subluxations. Physical causes could include slips and falls, accidents, repetitive motions and improper lifting. Emotions such as grief, anger and fear can cause subluxations. Chemical causes could include alcohol, drugs, pollution and poor diet.
How Do I Know If I Have A Subluxation?
03. You can have subluxations and not even know it. Like the early stages of tooth decay or cancer, subluxations can be present before warning signs appear. The results of a thorough examination can show the location and severity of subluxations you may have.
